Piracy Off Coast of Somalia

An ongoing debate is taking place in the Obama Administration over Naval Piracy off the coast of Africa. Let's set the record straight.

Pirates who prey on international shipping along the Horn of Africa and even more distant waters have claimed that their actions are motivated by illegal fishing in Somalia waters. This is a spurious justification for criminal behavior. Pirates continue to conduct violent attacks using the latest in military weapons; attacks on private yachts, passenger cruise ships and commercial container ships more than 1000 miles from Somalia fishing grounds.

Their criminality is financed by private individuals who share the monetary profits. The CIA and the DIA are currently hot on the trail of the pirate organizations using techniques developed by the IRS--"Follow The Money." This is great, but more is needed. NOW!!!

Our Naval Response to the actual attacks must be quick; strong; and deadly. The State Department approach (as usual) are non-violent negotiations and long-term strategic policies such as fishery management, climate/economic conservation, and fighting poverty in Africa.

WHAT BULL SHIT!! THE SAME CRAP FROM THE STATE DEPARTMENT THAT THEY HAVE BEEN SPEWING FORTH SINCE THE END OF WW II. HILLARY--GO TAKE A HOT BATH AND LET OUR MILITARY DEAL WITH THE PIRATES.

The only language that a pirate criminal holding a knife to the throat of a hostage after the bastard has already killed innocent mariners are lines of tracer fire from a U. S. Marine Recon Team or Navy Seal snipers.

Sorry folks for my language -- I just can't take it anymore!

There is hope.

A lesson to be learned from the health care debate is that Howard Dean and Moveon.org are as crazy as ever. Can you imagine -- Obama's Reform legislation is not enough; not for these people. They will never be satisfied until the Democratic Party is totally committed to socialism. That the president played by the Washington political rules in wheeling and dealing to obtain the 60 votes needed in the Senate has dismayed Dean and the ultra-left-liberals to such an extent that a bona fide split in the Democratic Part is very possible.

Adam Green, co-founder of the Progressive Change Campaign Committee and one of Obama's leading critics from the left, stated that Obama's escalation of the war in Afghanistan, the absence of the public option in health care reform, the President's move to the center in matters of national security will all work against the Democrats in the 2010 elections. "These issues have sapped the energy out of the Democratic base," said Green. "It will cause real problems in 2010 particularly given how energetic the Republican opposition is."

Let's hope Mr. Green is on target with these views. Hopefully, the Republicans will provide genuine opposition leadership and programs that will appeal to moderates, conservatives and independent voters.

If they do, the Republican Party just may put America back on a steady and straight road for the future.

Modern Tyranny Under "Environmentalists"

James Madison bluntly put it in The Federalist, No. 47: "The preservation of liberty requires that the three great departments of power should be separate and distinct." The accumulation "of all powers, executive, legislative and judicial, in the same hands ...may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny.

California: The Westlands. The "environmentalists," (the executive branch--Department of the Interior) say Los Angeles should never have been built because of lack of water; and the Westlands should never have been farmed for the same reason. But Los Angeles is here to stay and the Westlands contribute several billion dollars a year to California's economy.

Or they used to until the executive branch worked with the judicial branch to dry the land up.

The Cohelo family have farmed 6,500 acres in the Central Valley since 1900. They have grown everything from tomatoes to almonds, to garlic, alfalfa, wheat, sugar beets and cotton. In 2009 their production was cut 50% because of water diversion to the smelt, a tiny fish.

It's not just the farmers affected by the forced "smelt" dry up. In Medota, California, unemployment is up to 40 %. Joseph Riofiro, a grocery store owner says that his store has become nothing but a bill payment center. The people have no electricity, no telephone service, no hot water--they are desperate.

Peter Gleck, an environmentalist with the Department of the Interior shrugs his shoulders. "We need to protect the overall environment; that's just reality."

So what can these people of the Central Valley do? The executive branch under Obama prefers the smelt to human beings; the Federal Court in California feels the same way. The legislative branch, however, could help. The California Senators headed by Barbara Boxer and the California Representatives in the House, headed by Nancy Pelosi, have the influence to overcome the Court and the Department of Interior and pass legislation which would be fair to the farmers and the people who love fish. Obama would have to sign the bill with these two powerful politicians behind it.

But they do nothing. They prefer TYRANNY.

WHAT A YEAR!! Here we go: Highlight of 2009: reunion with my brother and his family- he has become easily, my best friend; he's short, chubby, funny, conservative, brilliant and a great golfer. And he's married to "Dell" (she's a better golfer)

Blessings: great sons, daughters-in-law, 4 awesome grandkids.

Disappointment: always wanted to have hot sex with Hillary Clinton but Harry Reid got there first.

Disappointment Two: great friends at Palm Harbor YMCA--all liberals-all voted for Obama; advice- swim more and vote less.

Advice for Tim Tebow--if you play in the NFL, don't cry on the bench after losing.

About Tiger--you are a schmuck!!!!

Huh? City of Clearwater realizes it hasn't done anything stupid for a while--stops flying American Flags. (Per St. Pete Times)

Best in Sports--WORLD CHAMPION NEW YORK YANKEES

Second Best in Sports--Tom Watson's Performance in a Major

On a serious note: we all need to realize that our beloved country is under attack from without and within. The President is nothing more than a well-spoken Chicago thug who at heart has neither the guts or intellect to be our Commander in Chief. We have a Congress that is totally up for sale (bastards admit it) and is filled by politicians who have neither read the Constitution and certainly do not understand it-- if they ever read it. And what is worse--they don't care about you or me and what we think. "Consent of the governed" is completely foreign to them.

Hopes and Goals: Health and success for Mike, Marc, Fred, Rich, Jeff and his sisters; best to my new niece and nephew in San Antonio; to Abbey, Scott, Matt and Alaina...happiness and my prayers for your continued growth. To Lois--lookin great--go get a rich second husband; For me--finish novel, finish text on Eminent Domain, do justice to my writing on the Internet; kick my brother's ass on the golf course; get weight down to 165.

HAPPY AND HEALTHY AND PROSPEROUS 2010 TO ALL.

A Rogue Woman --Not A Truthful One

When I became a political/social writer, I vowed to myself to "call em as I see em." I am certain that my Republican/Conservative family will not like today's posting.

If we are going to have a real debate about health care reform, let's at least start telling the truth. All of us!! One falsehood, one distortion stands above all else. And we have Sarah Palin to thank for it. On her face book page, she asserted that the government would set up boards to determine whether seniors and the disabled were worthy of care. I read the entire Senate Bill over the past six days: Sarah Palin is a liar; there is simply no such government board being proposed.

Now, finally, health care policy experts on both sides of the political spectrum are beginning to behave like rational people. Gail Wilensky, a health care policy advisor to President George W. Bush said Palin's charge was untrue and upsetting. "I think it is really unfortunate that this issue has been raised by Sarah Palin (death panels) and has received so much attention because there are serious issues to debate in health care reform.

That said, here is my plan. First, I am totally against Obama-Care. Second, I am going to utilize a lifetime spent reading, studying, interpreting and utilizing the Internal Revenue Code and the Code of Federal Regulations. Though not an attorney, I was a CPA licensed to practice before the Tax Court of the United States. I am going to read every paragraph in Obama's final law; I am then going to explain it in pure, understandable English. I do not need Sarah Palin, Harry Reid, Chuck the Schmuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi and Barbara Boxer to tell me anything about this bill. Same goes for Mike Gallagher and Huge Hewitt. AND the same goes for my fallen hero--Senator Joe Lieberman and that crook from Nebraska.

Buckle up folks: you are about to see Arnie in action. You are about to get the information as to what is really in the Obama Health Legislation. LIBERAL OR CONSERVATIVE, YOU ARE GOING TO GET THE TRUTH WITH BONA FIDE LEGAL CITATIONS.

How It Should Be

Once again, the subject matter of my blog is Sally Q. Yates, the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia. One day in November 2008, an American credit card processor was hacked in by perhaps the most sophisticated and organized computer hacking rings in the world.

Through the efforts of the U.S. Attorney's Office and the FBI's Atlanta office headed by Greg Jones, the back of this organized crime ring has been broken. Six Russians have been indicted on charges of conspiracy, wire fraud, and access device fraud. All charges carry lengthy (up to 20 years) prison sentences.

"This success would not have been possible without the unprecedented cooperation from various law enforcement agencies world wide," said Lanny A. Breuer, Assistant Attorney General in charge of the Criminal Division of the Justice Department.

According to court documents, the criminals obtained unauthorized access to the computer network of RBS World-Pay, the U.S. Payment Processing Department of the Royal Bank of Scotland, located in Atlanta. The group compromised the data encryption that was used by RBS World-Pay to protect customer data on payroll debit cards. These debit cards allow employees of companies to withdraw their salaries from ATMs.

The hacking ring then raised the account limits on compromised accounts and withdrew $9 million sending the money to 44 "cashiers" around the globe.

For further information contact Sally Q. Yates, U.S. Attorney, through Patrick Crosby, Public Affairs Officer at 404-581-6016. Their web site is www.usdoj.gov/usao//gan.

Health Bill Compromise Stirs Controversy

In an apparent split with Roman Catholic Bishops over the abortion financing provisions of the proposed health care reform, the nation's Catholic hospitals are backing the Senate's Compromise on the issue of abortion funding.

The Senate bill allows any state to bar the use of federal subsidies for insurance plans that cover abortion and requires insurers in other states to divide subsidy money into separate accounts so that only dollars from private premiums would be used to pay for abortions.

The Catholic Health Association which represents more than 600 Catholic hospitals across the country said that "it was encouraged" that such a compromise can achieve the objective of no federal funding for abortions. An umbrella group for nuns followed its lead.

However, the United States Conference of Bishops called the proposed compromise "morally unacceptable.
